Immigration Application Process

Star-7 International has established the following procedures for the preparation and processing of applications for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

  • The preparation of a formal application includes the accurate and detailed completion of all required forms, the assembling of all necessary documents and the preparation of translations.
  • Please Contact us to request a comprehensive Information Package. This will be sent to you at no cost.
  • Please provide us with the completed Questionnaire and all the Necessary Documents and information to create your immigration application. This will help us further evaluate whether you meet the provincial selection criteria.
  • We will review the criteria of age, education, occupation and work experience. You must have documented training and practical work experience within your chosen occupation. A good knowledge of either English or French is very important and strengthens your application. Your finances will also be evaluated in order to determine your ability to successfully immigrate and settle.
  • Upon our determination that your application has a legitimate chance to succeed, and if you choose to have us act as your immigration representative, you will be required to sign a contract with Star-7 International Inc. This contract states that you agree to pay a consulting fee to Star-7 International. The first installment, 50% of the consulting fee, is due before we proceed with the completion of the application. (If your application receives a positive response from the province, the other 50% is payable and then we will prepare and forward your application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada.)
  • You will be contacted in order to sign the appropriate forms, allowing us to proceed with the preparation of your application. You will need to sign various forms, which are part of the application package, and return them to us.
  • Your application will be submitted to the province once all required documents have been received and all necessary forms have been signed. This preparation process typically takes approximately three months.
  • The province may require six to twelve months to process your application. During this time we remain the contact for all your questions or concerns regarding the application.
  • When we receive confirmation that your application has been approved through the provincial program, we will inform you immediately. Upon receipt of the second installment of the consulting fee we will proceed to phase two of the immigration process.
  • We will prepare and submit your application for an immigration visa to Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
  • If your application is refused and you can provide new information, we will prepare a revised application and resubmit it to the province at no extra cost to you.
  • Please note that the decision to issue an entry visa is a national responsibility, exercised by an immigration officer of Citizenship and Immigration Canada, based on your nomination by the province. When your immigration application is approved by the appropriate Canadian Embassy you will receive a Permanent Resident Visa.
  • If your application is judged positive by the appropriate Canadian Embassy, you and all dependents listed on your application will be required to have a medical examination with a physician approved by the Canadian government. You should receive the results of this examination within approximately two months.
  • You will be issued a Permanent Resident Visa once it is determined that all the selection criteria, medical reports and security reports are satisfactory. Processing times at Canadian Embassies may vary considerably.
  • All family members who are immigrating will receive official Permanent Resident Status in Canada. Upon entry into Canada you and your family members will be registered at the Immigration Authority at the airport. You will receive a stamp in your passports indicating that your status is now as Permanent Residents/Landed Immigrants of Canada.

Please Note: Star-7 International Inc. cannot guarantee a successful immigration application. The decision to nominate a candidate for immigration is made by the province. The entire process is then finalized by the Canadian Embassy abroad, following a Security Check and a Medical Examination.
