Our Immigrant Families
Our clients are more than a name and number on an immigration application. They are families or individuals who come from more than 40 different countries and from every walk of life. They may come from different cultures and have different native languages, but they share one common goal: to establish a new life for themselves and their families here in
The Swiss writer, Max Frisch, referring to post-WWII
Provincial Nominee Programs were established in order to help meet the labour needs of business and industry. However, clearly we are not simply bringing in immigrant workers – welders, lathe operators, carpenters and truck drivers. We are bringing in ‘people’ – husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, children and grandparents. Our people come from many walks of life. They have their own stories to tell and a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.
More than the immigration program officers, more than the employers, more than Star 7, it is our people who place trust in this immigration process. The decision to immigrate means major family upheaval – parents leave secure and tenured employment in order to start again from the bottom, children say farewell to playmates and a familiar school system, houses which have become homes are sold, extended family and friends are left behind. The stress for families is considerable as they ponder these decisions during the year or longer, that it takes to process their applications. Yet our families remain steadfast and undeterred in their commitment to begin a new life in
At Star 7 International we are also “Menschen”. We are people dealing with people. Before we see applications, certificates and documents, we see people – families. The trust we develop with clients is our most valuable commodity. Our relationship with our people motivates us to press hard for a positive determination in every case. We do our best and humbly realize that there is always more we could do.
